“For Luis & Roberto I draw
Masculine red walls and
Colorful arabesques abound
My Latin heroes – alas no more.”

I feel that many of my doodles when explored, express some unconscious thoughts. As I looked at this one, it made me think of two amazing men I revered as designers: Luis Barragán, a Mexican Architect and Engineer and Roberto Burle Marx, a Brazilian Landscape Architect.
Luis designed some amazing houses and he was known for his bright colored, strong, angular walls, water, and terraces. Roberto was famous for his colorful swirling gardens of tropical flowers and ground covers. This little sketch seemed to echo their amazing works, especially if I used their colors.
